Ed Redmond serves as NextWave Broadband�s Senior Vice President, Program Execution and ASIC Development. Mr. Redmond has 19 years experience developing innovative high quality products for high volume production in the communications field.
Previous to NextWave Broadband Mr. Redmond was at Intel Corporation for 10 years in various roles, including his tenure as an Engineering Director where he delivered and ramped the first four 802.11 wireless LAN products that were part of the newly launched Centrino� Mobile Technology Brand. In this capacity Mr. Redmond directed digital and RF/analog silicon development, embedded and application software, hardware, Program Management, and PC OEM customer interface and enabling. He supported multiple acquisitions with Intel�s Internet Communications Group by defining and evaluating value drivers and subsequently delivering on them by serving as Integration Manager.
Mr. Redmond also has extensive cross site development and international experience through his expatriate assignment in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he managed an Ethernet switch development team. Early in his career Mr. Redmond worked to develop, test, and field communications systems for various US government customers while at GTE Government Systems.
Mr. Redmond earned a Masters Degree in Communications from Santa Clara University and earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. |
