Edgar Masri is President and Chief Executive Officer of 3Com. He leads the company�s global operations. Edgar is also a member of the Board of Directors and serves as Chairman of the Board and a Director of 3Com�s majority-owned joint venture, Huawei-3Com (H-3C).
Prior to re-joining 3Com as President and CEO, Edgar spent six years at Matrix Partners, a venture capital firm focused on technology investments, and more recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Redline Communications.
During his first tenure at 3Com, Edgar led 3Com�s Network Systems Business Unit as Senior Vice President and General Manager. In this position, Edgar had worldwide responsibility for the development, manufacturing and marketing of 3Com�s range of industry-leading enterprise and carrier systems products. Prior to this position, Edgar managed the Workgroup Systems Business Unit. Under his leadership, the division grew to more than $1 billion in sales and, according to industry research groups, held 35 percent market share. Edgar also served as President of 3Com Ventures, the company�s venture arm, and held management positions in Product Management, Marketing and Business Development.
Edgar holds a Diplome d�Ingenieur from Ecole Centrale de Paris, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration with distinction (Arijay Miller Scholar) from Stanford University. |
