Mr. Bronfin is a native of Denver, Colorado, and received his education from St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM and the University of Denver College of Law where he graduated with honors with the Order of St. Ives. He was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence awards in law school in constitutional law, insurance and UCC secured commercial transactions. His current practice is focused on representing health care professionals and institutions in professional malpractice claims, as well as licensing and credentialing matters. Since 1981, Mr. Bronfin has been involved with the defense and trial of complex medical malpractice, products, and medical and pharmaceutical liability cases surrounding virtually every aspect of medical and surgical care. Mr. Bronfin has been honored with nomination for the position of District Court Judge in Denver District Court on five occasions. Mr. Bronfin was honored as a finalist for the "Best of the Bar" award in the field of defense of medical malpractice cases by the Denver Business Journal in May 2004. Mr. Bronfin was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2005, and named as one of the "Best of Bar" by 5280 Magazine in medical malpractice defense in 2006 and 2007. By peer review vote, Mr. Bronfin was included in the "Best Lawyers in America" in 2007 and 2008 in medical malpractice and personal injury law. Mr. Bronfin is active in community organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Dumb Friend's League and The GLBT Center. Between 1992-1998, following appointment by Governor Romer and confirmation by the Colorado Senate, Mr. Bronfin served as a public member of the Colorado State Grievance Board, which regulated and disciplined psychotherapists and mental health professionals. Mr. Bronfin enjoys traveling and running, and has completed four marathons (Berlin, Rome, Iceland and Prague) in the last 4 years. |
