Mr. Tan practices in the firm's Corporate and Business Law, Franchise Law, and Creditor's Rights and Bankruptcy sections. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tan served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, Division of Law, from 2002-2006. While at the Attorney General's Office, he handled a broad range of matters, including serving as counsel to the New Jersey Lottery and Lottery Commission, coordinating the State's tobacco enforcement efforts with the National Association of Attorneys General, and representing several State agencies before the Office of Administrative Law, the Tax Court, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. After graduating from law school, he served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Virginia Long, Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Mr. Tan is a past and present member of several professional organizations: the Asian Pacific American Legal Association; the Middlesex County Bar Association; the New Jersey State Bar Association; and the American Bar Association. |
