Ed Hanley has over twenty years of liner vessel operations and engineering experience with U.S. and foreign flag vessels. As Director of Fleet Repair for U.S. Ship Management, Inc. (USSMI), Hanley was responsible for the maintenance and repair of nineteen U.S. flag containerships deployed in global liner trades for Maersk.Prior to joining USSMI, Hanley was General Manager of Vessel Operations for Sea-Land Service. Hanley served as President and Managing Director of Inter Sea Operations Ltd., an offshore subsidiary of Sea-Land that owned and managed a fleet of twenty-one foreign flag containerships. Another key post held was Director of Chartering Services responsible for all negotiations and administration of Sea-Land�s sixty strong time chartered fleet.Hanley earned an Executive MBA from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina and is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, where he received a BS with dual U.S. Coast Guard licenses in navigation and engineering and a commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve.He is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping, the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and serves on the Board of Trustees for the AMO and MEBA pension and benefit plans.Hanley will be domiciled at Maersk Line, Limited�s Norfolk office. |
