Dr. Bierhanzl joined ERS Group as a Research Economist in the Washington, D.C. office in 2005. His work at ERS Group has focused on wage and hour and employment discrimination litigation, including compensation and employment selection monitoring, and analysis related to OFCCP and EEOC investigations. Dr. Bierhanzl has also prepared analyses for firms involved in labor contract negotiations, and for cases involving taxation, government expenditures, and public finance. Prior to working for ERS Group, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Economics at Florida A & M University where he taught for eleven years. Dr. Bierhanzl has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Labor Research, the Journal of Private Enterprise, and the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice, and he has presented his research at conferences of the Southern Economic Association, the Association of Private Enterprise Education, and internationally. His areas of interest include economic policy and institutions, local public finance/public choice, and labor market policy. He received his doctorate from Florida State University. |
