Mr. Rasmussen is currently Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, having been named to the position in December 2000. As Vice President and Controller, he is responsible for Con Edison's corporate accounting, financial forecasting, external reporting and revenue requirements. He is also a named fiduciary of the company's pension plan, serves on the risk management and oversight committees of the company and is the Chief Financial Officer of Orange and Rockland Utilities, a regulated company.
Mr. Rasmussen joined Con Edison's corporate accounting department in 1970 and rose to the position of Assistant Controller in 1987. In 1990, he began a three-year field assignment as general manager of Manhattan operations. He returned to corporate accounting as an Assistant Controller in 1993 with primary responsibility for the company's rate activities.
Mr. Rasmussen is currently a member of the Edison Electric Institute's (EEI) Chief Accounting Officers group and serves on the Executive Accounting Committee of the EEI. For many years he has been involved with industry-wide accounting issues through the EEI and American Gas Association (AGA) and he appeared before many regulatory bodies and authored publications on industry issues. Mr. Rasmussen graduated from St. Francis College in 1970, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. In 1976, he received a master's degree n finance from Long Island University. |
