Mr. Jamele oversees all phases of facility construction and facility maintenance. He is a licensed nursing home administrator, as well as a licensed contractor. Mr. Jamele serves as Athena's project site manager during the construction and/or renovation phase to ensure the facility's successful completion and prompt licensure. Mr. Jamele is also a managing partner in Athena Communities, LLC, and is responsible, together with one other principal of Athena, for the development, operation, and management of the parent corporation and each of its assisted living facilities. Mr. Jamele's oversight of the construction management schedule ensures coordination with operational functions prior to licensure. He is the project liaison with all appropriate state and local agencies, and is charged with obtaining all necessary approvals and licenses. Mr. Jamele's broad experience in health care includes directing the construction of several comprehensive sub-acute and long-term care facilities. Prior to joining Athena in October 1984, Mr. Jamele spent eight years with New Medico and served in various capacities, including Connecticut Regional Physical Plant and Construction Coordinator, Administrator and Assistant Administrator at various New Medico facilities. Mr. Jamele graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in long-term health care management. |
