Edward L. Samek is a private investor, advisor and independent board member. He is the former chairman and CEO of The MRC Group, a leader in providing outsourced medical transcription services, and its predecessor companies where he served from 1982 to 1998. Prior to that, he was president of Hudson Pharmaceutical Corp and president and CEO of Childcraft Education. Following graduation from Bucknell University and Columbia University Graduate School of Business, he held leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Avon Products. Samek is also a Director of Alliance Imaging (NYSE:AIQ), and the following private companies: Veritext, LLC, WaterJel Products, and North American Management Corporation. In addition he serves on the following not-for-profit boards: The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, Edison, New Jersey, Friends of Acadia (the National Park), The Jackson Laboratory, and The Medical Transcription Industry Association (MTIA). |
