After 15 years with sister company American Fidelity Corporation, Mr. Young came to North American Group as CFO in January 2005. He brought with him over 18 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate development, asset management and operational experience, primarily focused in the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, real estate and credit financing. He has completed multiple acquisitions, sales and mergers involving AF subsidiaries, external Venture Capital based investments and managed several internationally funded businesses.
Ed graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1985 with a BS in Accounting. He has also earned the accreditation of Certified Public Accountant. Active in his industry and the community, Ed currently serves as a board member of Metafund Corporation (2003 - Present) and Oklahoma Venture Forum in Oklahoma City (2003 - Present) and is active in youth sports, Boy Scouts of America as well as Toastmasters International local clubs. He also served as Treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Oklahoma City (1997 - 2002) and President of the Oklahoma chapter of Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (1994 - 1998). |
