Dr. Aten completed his premedical training at Stanford University and received his M.D. from the University of Chicago Medical School. His residency training was in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Aten began his professional career as the Associate Director of Clinical Research with Beecham Laboratories in Bristol, Tennessee. As Vice President for Medical and Regulatory Affairs with Mallinckrodt, Inc., he developed and managed successful national and international clinical programs. He orchestrated key clinical strategies that set the stage for worldwide approval of several significant imaging agents. Dr. Aten also worked as the Vice President of Clinical Research at Diatide Inc., a start-up biotech company. Dr. Aten is president and CEO of Certus International, a full service Contract Research Organization. Dr. Aten's clinical expertise, medical background, and management experience give him an excellent foundation from which to lead Certus Imaging. |
