Ed is a principal with the Philadelphia office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1982.
Experience
Ed�s experience includes consulting for life and health insurance companies, life settlement companies, banks, and agencies. His consulting includes life, annuity, long-term care, and health product development; analysis of life settlement purchases; analysis of direct response and traditional distribution; capital and surplus analysis; risk management and asset/liability analysis; and illustration actuary reviews. Ed�s experience also includes extensive work in actuarial appraisals for mergers and acquisitions.
Much of Ed�s recent work has been concentrated in the life settlement area, including portfolio valuations, mortality analysis, policy reviews, and systems consulting.

Ed chaired the Task Force for Direct Response Mortality and Persistency, whose study was published in the 1993-94 SOA Transactions Reports. He is also a frequent speaker at industry meetings and has published periodically. |
