Mr. Walter is our President and Chief Executive Officer. He is the Treasurer of Friendship Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. and Immediate Past Chairman of National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area, Inc., serving on the 2007-2008 Board of Directors. Mr. Walter joined our company in 1996 as Senior Vice President for Acquisitions, and was elected Treasurer in 1998, Executive Vice President in 2000, Chief Operating Officer in 2001 and Chief Financial Officer in 2003. He became our President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2007. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Walter was a partner with Trammell Crow Residential Company and the President of Bailey Capital Corporation, a real estate firm that focuses on tax-exempt real estate investments. |
