Biography
Mr. Gordon is a Managing Director and has headed Punk, Ziegel & Company�s life sciences investment banking practice since 2001, providing both strategic advisory and corporate finance services to private companies and small to mid-capitalization companies in the biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Prior to joining Punk, Ziegel & Company, Mr. Gordon was a Managing Director in SG Cowen�s Health Care Investment Banking group where his focus was on health care services and health care information companies.
His investment banking experience began at Furman Selz, a leading health care investment banking boutique. His clients have included some of the largest and smallest health care companies in the United States, with quality and promise being the hallmarks rather than size.
Before becoming an investment banker, Mr. Gordon was a research analyst covering the health care services sector. He was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley & Company and its senior health care services analyst. During his tenure at MS&Co., both Institutional Investor Magazine and the Greenwich Survey of Institutional Investors recognized him as one of the leading analysts covering health care services companies (hospitals, health maintenance organizations and nursing homes).
Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Gordon was a Vice President and the senior analyst in health care services for Tucker Anthony and R.L. Day and Prudential-Bache Securities where he began his career in institutional equity research. He is a graduate of the Katz School of Business where he received a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor�s degree in Economics |
