Edy Whidden was named chief operating officer of Rebuilding Together in 1998. She also serves as Vice President for Operations. As the administrative officer, she is responsible for human resource management, budget development, financial administration and oversight, policy and systems enhancement, facilities management and network systems and operations. Whidden formerly served as Associate Executive Director for the National Association of College and University Attorneys, where she worked for 18 years prior to joining the staff of Rebuilding Together. While there she was made an honorary member of the association, only the fourth time that honor was bestowed upon a non-lawyer in the history of the association. The award recognized her substantial contributions to the understanding and resolution of legal problems affecting colleges and universities. Prior to that time, she worked for the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Society of Human Resource Management. Ms. Whidden received her BS from Georgetown University in Business Administration. |
