Eileen Nelson joined 3Com as Senior Vice President Human Resources in May 2008. She leads the company�s worldwide HR organization and strategies and works closely with the company�s operations in China to drive integration and consistency in global programs.
Prior to 3Com Nelson had been Vice President of Human Resources for Tropos Networks since 2005 where she created the human resources function for this pre-IPO leader in the Wi-Fi Mesh Networking space. She was a Partner in the 21 Group an executive search and consulting firm from 2003 to 2005 and continued her relationship with the firm on an advisory basis until 2008. She was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for eBay from 2001 to 2003 with responsibility for all human resource strategies and deliverables as well as all cultural and organizational initiatives globally.
Nelson previously spent 13 years with 3Com beginning in 1988 rising to the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Services where she led the company�s human resources employee communications and corporate philanthropy activities.
Earlier in her career Nelson held increasingly senior HR positions for several leading technology companies including Tandon/Western Digital Corp. Davong Systems and Unisys Corp.
She is board member or trustee of several philanthropic arts and educational organizations. Nelson attended Queens College City University of New York and she completed an advanced program in organizational development and human resources at Columbia University. |
