Elana Gilaad represents employers in all phases of federal, state and administrative employment law. Her practice includes conducting sexual harassment investigations, deposing litigants in harassment, discrimination and wrongful discharge cases and litigating substantive motions in federal court. She also advises clients on a variety of issues including employee termination, personnel policies, wages and hour issues, and other human resources matters. In addition, she has experience in drafting and reviewing executive compensation agreements, separation agreements and various employment policies.
Elana also has extensive experience in traditional labor law matters. She has been lead counsel in numerous labor arbitrations and has appeared before both the federal courts and the NLRB on behalf of clients. She advises and strategizes with clients regarding labor relations issues. Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Elana was an associate at Proskauer Rose LLP.
She is licensed to practice in New York state, the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and New Jersey state and federal courts.
During law school, Elana was the Annotations Editor for the Cardozo Women's Law Journal.
