Eldar Sheykh-Zade

Dr. Eldar Sheykh-Zade brings to ESC more than 20 years of experience leading software development projects.
Dr. Sheykh-Zade joined ESC in 2001 as Principal Software Architect. In that role, he was instrumental in the creation of VinTelligent - ESC's first commercial product. This Web-based application controls and optimizes automobile handling at all points along the supply chain, from manufacturer to dealer. Dr. Sheykh-Zade designed the product, created the application framework, and managed the VinTelligent development team.
In early 2004, after VinTelligent had been implemented for two customers (including 38 CSX terminals), Dr. Sheykh-Zade took on a new role managing the smartGATE team. Under his leadership, smartGATE became the most successful commercial ESC product, deployed at more than sixteen terminals worldwide. smartGATE provides improved productivity and terminal security through centralized, remote, automated processing of gate transactions.
In early 2007 Dr. Sheykh-Zade was appointed leader of the Gate Automation organization. In this new role he is responsible for the suite of software (including OCR) and hardware used for Gate, Rail, and Crane operations.
