Elena Zhang is a Vice President focused on growth capital opportunities in Asia. She is based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Zhang was a Vice President of Baring Asia Equity Partners where she invested and successfully exited several investments including Minth Corp., Newpalm, Yonghe King and Comba Telecom. Prior to Baring, Ms. Zhang was an Associate at Telecom Group of JP Morgan Chase where she was involved in the initial offering, restructuring and M&A activities of large telecom operators including China Mobile, Hutchison Telecom, Celcom, PLDT and TAC.
Ms. Zhang holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in computer science from Wuhan University of China.
