Eli Porat has been Tvia's CEO since November 2001, a member of the board since March 2001, and Chairman of the board since March 2005.
He began his career at Intel Corp. as manager of the EPROM/ROM Design Group. While at Intel, Mr. Porat became the site manager for Intel's Israeli VLSI design center and director of the Microprocessor Engineering Group with teams in the US, Japan, and Israel.
During this time, he received numerous patents on VLSI chip designs. Mr. Porat was also the CEO of OpenGrid, president and CEO of the DSP Group, vice president of operations at Sytek and vice president and general manger at Zymos.
He has been a director at Starfish Software, Inc., and Voxware, Inc.
Mr. Porat earned his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley. |
