Elisa Shevlin Rizzo is counsel in the Private Clients Group at Cummings & Lockwood, LLC. She practices in the firm�s Stamford office where she focuses on sophisticated estate planning and administration including planning for non-U.S. citizens, charitable planning and planning for individuals with special needs. Previously, Elisa was associated with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft where her practice included the representation of large family groups in connection with their domestic and international tax and estate planning needs. Elisa is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and before the United States Supreme Court. Elisa received her A.B. in History from the College of the Holy Cross in 1993 and her J.D. from Fordham University in 1998. Elisa has co-authored several publications, including two chapters which were included in A Guide to International Estate Planning Drafting, Compliance and Administration Strategies, published by the American Bar Association. She recently co-authored Grantor Treated as Owner of Entire Trust for Steve Leimberg�s Estate Planning Newsletter. Elisa is involved with a number of civic and charitable organizations and presently serves on the boards of Family Services of Westchester, Inc. and the Junior League of Bronxville. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Trusts & Estates Section of the New York Bar Association. |
