Elissa Miller's practice focuses on creditors' rights, business and commercial litigation. She is a member of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel of Trustees appointed by the Office of the United States Trustee. She represents creditors, creditors' committees and trustees in bankruptcy cases. She also represents business clients in complex cases in all state and federal courts. Ms. Miller was lead counsel for several creditors' committees including the cases of In re MCEG, Inc., and In re NSB, Inc. She has represented numerous creditors in health care related cases including the Pomona Valley Hospital case and the Vista Hospital bankruptcy case. Ms. Miller's clients include, among others, Dent Wizard International Corp. and CNA Surety Co. Ms. Miller is a member of the State Bar of California; Los Angeles County Bar Association; Financial Lawyers Conference; the Bankruptcy Forum; International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and Bruin Professionals. She is a Founding Member/Director of the Los Angeles Network of IWIRC and an officer of the Women's Clinic & Family Counseling Center, a Los Angeles community based health and counseling center. Ms. Miller received her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles, and her J.D., with honors, from Southwestern University School of Law. |
