Elitza Popova-Talty is an associate in the Washington, DC office of the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and a member of the Litigation and International Arbitration Group. Ms. Talty focuses her practice on international arbitration. Ms. Talty has advised clients on the applicability of the ICSID Convention, the selection and appointment of arbitrators, investment treaty protection and the enforceability of arbitral awards. Ms. Talty counsels clients in choosing dispute resolution mechanism and drafting dispute resolution clauses in transnational agreements.
Ms. Talty's recent international arbitration experience includes the representation of a major European Airport operator in an ICSID arbitration under a Bilateral Investment Treaty.
Ms. Talty holds both U.S. and Bulgarian law degrees. Ms. Talty is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School and the University Kliment Ojridski Law School (Bulgaria). |
