PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Ms. Hanley practices in all areas of chemistry and biotechnology patent law, including patent prosecution, patentability and validity opinions, and licensing. Her specialties include small molecule and organic chemistry, drug delivery, and pharmaceutical development. Ms. Hanley has been involved in numerous intellectual property due diligence evaluations. Ms. Hanley was named a Massachusetts SuperLawyer in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Ms. Hanley was an Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry prior to joining the firm. While employed by the Patent Office, she received specialized biotechnology training at the National Institutes of Health. Subsequent to being an Examiner, she worked as a patent agent specializing in biotechnology and chemistry while attending evening law school. |
