Elizabeth Arend earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in English and History from Michigan State University in 1967. She taught both in Michigan and Colorado before taking a break from teaching to raise her two sons. During this time she remained active in her community in many volunteer positions within the arts, the Junior League, and her church. Upon moving to Houston with her husband and children, Mrs. Arend joined the faculty of The Village School in 1983 as a fourth grade teacher. During this time frame she also served as Coordinator of Grades 1 - 8. In 1994, she became Director of the Middle School, a position she holds today. Additionally, she volunteers her time at her church and within several other organizations in the community. |
