Elizabeth Erickson is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Firm�s Tax Department, where she focuses on tax controversies, including tax litigation.
Prior to joining McDermott, Elizabeth worked at a law firm based in Washington, D.C., where she represented clients in disputes before the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Courts, the Internal Revenue Service Appeals Division, and the Internal Revenue Service National Office.
Substantive issues in dispute in these matters have included the resolution of transfer pricing issues, section 1341 claims, tax accounting issues, abandonment loss issues, the deductibility of settlement payments, and a variety of other taxation issues. Elizabeth also has substantial experience with assisting clients in competent authority matters and in obtaining Advance Pricing Agreements.
Elizabeth is a member of the America Bar Association�s Section of Taxation and the Women�s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
