Dr. Lindenbaum began her research in the field of angiogenesis (the process of the development and growth of blood vessels, which is active during embryonic development, healing of damaged tissue, and growth of tumors) in 1985 when she received her own laboratory. In 1986, she received a grant from the Samuel Neaman Institute, and in 1989, an international grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. Dr. Lindenbaum is the holder of numerous internal patents, and scientific consultant to several incubator start-up biotechnology companies. |
