Elliot Williams joined Mirus Capital Advisors in 1991, was appointed Managing Director in 1996 and became President in January of 2000. Since joining the firm in 1991, he has been integral in improving and refining Mirus' internal processes and operations to deliver the highest quality services to clients. In addition to overseeing Mirus' day-to-day operations, Elliot is responsible for the formation of strategic relationships with leading corporate service providers and associations as well as the origination of new clients across all of Mirus' investment banking groups. Elliot's leadership throughout the 1990's has been pivotal in the transformation of Mirus from a specialized merger and acquisition boutique to a leading middle market investment bank.Under Elliot's direction, the Company has developed a number of vertical investment banking groups in order to capitalize on the firm's extensive vertical industry knowledge and world class transaction expertise. Having started Mirus' IT services group in 1997 and the Specialty Industries group in 1998, Elliot has accumulated a vast amount of deal experience and expertise. To date, the IT Services group has completed high profile transactions including the sale of Edgewater Technologies to Staffmark, the purchase of SND by ePresence and the recapitalization of Alpine Computer Services by William E. Simon & Sons. The Specialty Industries group, which Elliot currently runs, focuses on niche manufacturing and business services. Elliot has completed additional transactions in a broad array of industries including software, telecommunications, business services, plastics, packaging and industrial and specialty coatings.Prior to joining Mirus Capital Advisors, Elliot worked in sales for Power Conversion Systems, Inc., which at the time was the largest independent reseller and integrator of power filtration and power supply equipment in New England. Elliot serves as an Advisor to the Boards of several regional entrepreneurial companies, is past President of the Association for Corporate Growth and is also an active member of the Boston Business Advisory Group, Boston Chamber of Commerce, and the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors. Additionally, Elliot is a winner of Mass High Tech's All-Stars award, which recognizes top New England innovators who have made significant impacts in their respective technology fields. Elliot has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College and holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA certifications. |
