In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has served as General Assistant Director of Africa, General Director of Organizations and International Conference, General Director of Latin America and Director of the Analysis and Forecasting Office of Foreign Policy. He has been in charge of economic and commercial affairs in the Embassies of Addis Ababa and Dar es Salaam, Cultural Councillor in Mexico and Spain�s Ambassador in Angola (1978-79) and Mexico (1982-85). He was also General Consul in New York (1998-2003). He was President and Chairman of the State Corporation for the Universal Exposition of Seville 1992 (1986-1991), and Commissioner General (1991-1993). Emilio Cassinello was the first United General Secretary of Spain/United States Council and Vice-President of the Euroamerica Foundation. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of Real Elcano Institute of International and Strategic Studies, Honorary Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association of New York, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Dukes of Soria Foundation. |
