Emily Bjorkman concentrates her practice on representing management in litigation and employment matters with a focus on discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA and state law discrimination. She represents clients in state and federal court. Prior to joining Ford & Harrison, Emily served as an associate at a Memphis law firm where she worked with clients on a wide range of employment litigation issues, including employment contract, workers' compensation and Title VII issues.
Emily is licensed to practice before the State Bar of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Labor & Employment Section; Memphis Bar Association, Labor & Employment Law Section and the Association of Women Attorneys. She is also a member of the 2008 Leadership Academy.
During law school, she served as a member of the Moot Court Board and was champion of the 2003 Mock Trial Competition.
