Emily is a Research Analyst. Prior to joining KLD, Emily interned at Justice for Children International and Fondation Scelles, NGOs dedicated to the fight against human trafficking by promoting children�s rights in impoverished communities. She has also worked for Plan France, a development organization for children in the third world, and was an editorial assistant at Eurofuture, a quarterly journal for European Union external relations from 2006-2007.
Emily graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of New Hampshire. She subsequently earned an M.Sc. with Merit in European Politics and Governance with a concentration in Policy Making from the London School of Economics, where her dissertation investigated Spanish national compliance rates with European Union environmental policy initiatives. Emily then received an M.Res. in Conflict Resolution from the Insitut Catholique de Paris, where her dissertation studied European Union efforts to promote the development of regional cooperation and compliance with the Dayton Accords between Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina through economic policies. She is a member of Pi Delta Phi French Honors Society and is fluent in French. |
