Emily Hall serves as Executive Vice President in the firm�s Silicon Valley, CA office. Additionally, she is a member of DHR�s Nonprofit Practice Group. Ms. Hall has consulted to social service, cultural, environmental, youth and education, and advocacy institutions all across the U.S. She brings expertise in Board governance and accountability; strategy and planning; organizational assessments; Board and leadership succession planning; executive transitions (specializing in founder transitions) and executive search; facilitation; and leadership coaching. Ms. Hall has worked in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She founded Olive Grove Consulting which provides a range of consulting services to nonprofits in Northern California. She also served as Director of Executive Search at The Management Center and Director of the West Coast Nonprofit Practice for A.T. Kearney, and has previous experience with StratfordGroup and DHR International. She also has extensive experience as a board member, serving on the nonprofit boards of the Pearl Theatre Company in New York, Interfaith Hospitality Network in San Mateo, Z Space Studio in San Francisco, and Temple Beth Jacob in Redwood City. Ms. Hall holds a Bachelor�s degree from Northwestern University and studied abroad at the University of Sussex in England. She has an M.A. (ABD) in Human Resources and Organization Development at the University of San Francisco. Emily also has conducted surveys on industry trends, written thought-papers, served as guest lecturer at the University of Michigan and Haas School of Business, and served on the selection panel for Craigslist Venture Philanthropy Forum. She is a member of Bay Area Organization Development Network, Alliance for Nonprofit Management, Center for Excellence in Nonprofits, and BoardSource. |
