Emmy nominated journalist Emily Moore anchors ABC23's No Bull Mornings.
Emily joined the team in 2000, and for more than six years pounded the pavement as a reporter for the evening newscasts. Now you can catch her for two hours each weekday morning, giving you the news you need on the most lively morning newscast in Kern County. She also does special reports and stories exploring unique aspects of Kern County.
Emily has had the chance to work on quite a few memorable stories over the years at ABC23, but by far her most profound experience was covering hurricane Katrina in a flooded New Orleans and devastated Mississippi. For a week in that fall of 2005, Emily and Photojournalist Jim DeLoof lived in a news van in the sweltering heat while capturing the emotional stories of loss, despair, and sometimes hope, then broadcasting them live each night to the folks in Kern County.
Emily was nominated for an Emmy in 2004 for Journalistic Enterprise for a collection of her work. She has also won numerous Kern Press Club Awards, including Best Spot News reporter three years in a row. |
