Emmanuel T. Hernandez is the Chief Financial Officer at SunPower Corporation, joining in April 2005, and responsible for supporting SunPower's rapid manufacturing ramp-up and business expansion plans. Prior to SunPower, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Cypress Semiconductor, responsible for the company's worldwide financial reporting, tax and treasury, investor relations, and business development. Mr. Hernandez was instrumental in solidifying relations with the investment community and maintaining Cypress 's strong financial position. Prior to joining Cypress , Mr. Hernandez worked at National Semiconductor from 1976 to 1993. While at National, he held a variety of finance positions, culminating with his appointment to director of corporate accounting. He joined Cypress as corporate controller before advancing to CFO in 1994.
Mr. Hernandez graduated with a BSC in accounting from the University of Nueva Caceres in the Philippines ; received his CPA license from the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and earned his MBA in finance from Golden Gate University . He is a board member and chairman of the audit committee of ON Semiconductor Corporation and Integration Associates Inc. He is also a board member of Silicon Light Machines. |
