Eric Altoon is Special Counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group in Los Angeles. Mr. Altoon's practice includes real estate, real estate finance and tax motivated transactions. Mr. Altoon represents equity funds, investors, lenders, borrowers, developers, contractors, landlords and tenants in connection with the documentation, due diligence and closing of (i) acquisitions, construction, environmental remediation, leasing and dispositions of shopping centers, office buildings, industrial warehouses and residential projects, (ii) development, construction and permanent loans, and (iii) historic and low income housing tax credit projects. Mr. Altoon also has experience in the resolution of adjoining landowner, landlord-tenant and owner-broker disputes.
Mr. Altoon received his B.A. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1994 and his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Altoon served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Stephen O'Neil of the Superior Court of Los Angeles and to the Honorable Dickran Tevrizian of the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California.
Mr. Altoon is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers and is the Subsection Chair of the General Subsection of the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
