Mr. Young was a co-founder of the Canaan organization and has served as a General Partner since its inception. Previously, Eric was a Senior Vice President of GE Venture Capital, focusing on investment opportunities in the electronics and information industries. During his five years at GE Venture Capital, he initiated and managed several successful investments in companies such as Nellcor and Octel Communications. Eric joined GE in 1979, holding successive managerial positions in sales, marketing and manufacturing within two GE industrial product businesses. Eric is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering and received his M.B.A. in finance from Northwestern University. At Canaan, Eric led its investments in Argon Networks, Copper Mountain, Difusion Software, Frame Technology, INS, Kalpana, ONI Systems, Spectrian, and Visigenic Software. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Capstone Turbine, Ebates, Filanet, and Notiva. |
