Eric B. Fonstad age 59 was appointed Senior Vice President General Counsel and Secretary effective October 30 2006. Prior to joining Assisted Living Concepts Inc. Mr. Fonstad was Legal Counsel for the Experimental Aircraft Association Inc. a large non-profit organization of aviation enthusiasts in Oshkosh Wisconsin and taught business strategy at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Business. From 2000 to 2005 Mr. Fonstad was Secretary and Associate General Counsel of Joy Global Inc. a $2.3 billion publicly owned mining equipment manufacturing and service company based in Milwaukee Wisconsin where he specialized in corporate governance securities law and corporate finance matters. Prior to 2000 he held a series of legal and corporate secretary positions of increasing responsibility with Joy Global and its predecessors and handled a broad range of legal matters including contracts acquisitions/transactions compliance and corporate governance. He graduated with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Law from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. |
