Eric Tripp was appointed Co-President of BMO Financial Group's Investment Banking Group on February 1, 2006. Mr. Tripp is responsible for all of the organization's trading operations - including the delivery of equity and debt research, sales, and trading, a full range of derivatives products, securitization, as well as foreign exchange and domestic and international money market services. Mr. Tripp began his career at Burns Fry Ltd. (a predecessor firm of BMO Capital Markets) in 1983 in fixed income derivatives. Following a move to the equity division in 1985, he was involved in increasingly responsible positions including management of the firm�s equity derivatives business, its equity liability trading area, and most recently the entire equity division. Mr. Tripp is the past chairman of the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC), and former board member of the Toronto Futures Exchange and the TSX Group. He is an Executive Sponsor of the Investment Banking Group�s Diversity Council, which is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and an equitable and supportive workplace. Mr. Tripp is a graduate of both Queen�s University (B.A. Hons. Economics, 1981) and the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. |
