Eric D. Christensen is the vice president of planning for SkyWest, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Eric was brought to SkyWest in 1985 as the Director of Finance to oversee the initial public offering of SkyWest stock on the NASDAQ stock exchange, which subsequently occurred in 1986. After a successful public offering, Eric�s responsibilities were altered to work directly with Jerry Atkin as the assistant to the president. He was commissioned with all budgeting and insurance needs for SkyWest and managed the construction of the company�s hangar in Salt Lake City. Eric also spearheaded the purchase of the airline�s first regional jets. In 1990, Eric became SkyWest�s third Vice President as he was named the Vice President of Planning. He continues to direct all aircraft purchasing and has seen the fleet of regional jets expand to more than 200 aircraft. He played an instrumental role in negotiating SkyWest�s contracts with both Delta and United. Eric has also continued to be the project guy managing the construction of several more hangars in SkyWest�s system and a new, state of the art corporate headquarters building in St. George. Prior to joining SkyWest, Eric worked for four years as a certified public accountant for Ernst and Whinny in Salt Lake City. Eric graduated from Utah State University in Logan, Utah with a Bachelor�s degree in Accounting and later a Master of Business Administration. He and his wife, Lichelle, live in St. George and are the parents of four daughters. |
