D. Eric "Rick" Pogue joined the American Red Cross in December 2003 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and was appointed Chief Diversity Officer in October 2005. Pogue leads the key function of managing, recruiting, training and diversifying the human resources for the organization.
He is a seasoned senior human resource executive who brings this experience to the organization over his 30-year career through responsibility for global human resources in the private sector.
Prior to joining the Red Cross, Pogue served as Senior Vice President for Global Human Resources at the Campbell Soup Company whose businesses also include Pepperidge Farm and Godiva Chocolate. Prior to joining Campbell Soup in 2001, Pogue worked for Revlon, Inc., ultimately serving as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for Revlon Worldwide. He spent three years at Revlon, Inc., first as Vice President, Human Resources for their U.S. operation and then as assumed responsibilities for the global operation.
Pogue also spent several years of his career at Altria, Group, Inc. (formerly Phillip Morris Companies, Inc.) as Corporate Vice President, Human Resources and later as Vice President, Employee Relations. He also spent twelve years in human resource positions in the chemical industry.
Pogue holds a Masters degree from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Heidelberg College. |
