Experience
Eric has a broad litigation practice that includes commercial disputes, personal injury, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, FELA, class actions, and multi-district litigation. At Pierce Atwood, Eric has litigated cases for plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts in Maine and the District of Columbia.
Before joining Pierce Atwood in 2004, Eric was a litigation associate with Latham & Watkins in Washington, D.C. There his litigation practice involved litigation in both state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, involving commercial disputes, APA actions, Qui Tam actions, anti-dumping investigations, employment discrimination, and class actions.
Eric has also served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Justice Jerry Larson of the Iowa Supreme Court.
Education
Eric received a B.A., summa cum laude, in History from Briar Cliff College in 1996. In 1999, he received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame, he served as the Chair of the Honor Council.

Eric is a member of the Maine State, Cumberland County, Iowa State, District of Columbia, and American Bar Associations; and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.
