Eric Cooney is President and CEO of TANDBERG Television. He leads the company in its mission to be the world's leading provider of live and on-demand digital TV delivery solutions, enabling broadcasters, operators and content owners to realize the full potential of their networks and to deliver digital video across any platform to any device. Eric has a strong track record in the digital broadcasting industry gained from many years of helping operators around the world to deploy digital video platforms and services.Eric joined TANDBERG Television in 1997 and assumed his current position in June 2003. Over the past four years he has steered TANDBERG Television into profitable growth and provided the strategic vision that has enabled the company to deliver best-in-class technology and achieve a strong industry lead. Eric has driven a series of strategic acquisitions that have enabled the company to expand its market presence and leadership and deliver pioneering technology that enables new business models through IPTV, HDTV, video on demand (VOD) and interactive television.Prior to entering the digital broadcasting market with NDS, Eric spent five years as a U.S. Naval Officer, followed by a career in systems engineering and sales in the computer process control industry. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Southern California, a Masters education in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Navy, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rochester. |
