Mr. Schmitz researches and develops changes and additions to KPA's service offerings. He joined the company in 1995 as a field engineer, rising to Manager of KPA's Western region before advancing to his current position. Prior to joining KPA, Mr. Schmitz worked as a field chemist and project manager for a hazardous waste disposal contractor at military installations across the US. He oversaw a team responsible for the sampling, characterization, and shipment of wastes ranging from surplus rocket fuel to tritium-contaminated Q-tips used to clean nuclear warheads. Mr. Schmitz earned his B.S. in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California at Davis in California. |
