Eric Sites joined Sunbelt Software in 2004. As the company's Chief Technology Officer, Eric manages the forward vision of Sunbelt's security software strategy. His expertise in the areas of advanced research, architecture, analysis, design, and code development strengthen the company's technical direction and help ensure that future products are designed based on established technology and market requirements. Eric is an expert in a number of programming languages including C/C++, SQL, C#, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, VBScript, JAVA, JavaScript, and InstallShield Script. In addition, he is proficient in UNIX and Win 32 database internals, a variety of web technologies, and OOA/OOD/OOP. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Eric served as Chief Technology Officer for askSam Systems, a software developer specializing in some of the world's most popular free-form database and information management tools. While there, Eric managed nineteen full version product releases in five foreign languages and hundreds of custom applications for askSam clients. He also developed an advanced architecture for a free-form database product, Freedom XML Native Database Server for Red Hat Linux. Additionally, Eric wrote NT Manage, a Windows NT Network Management solution, after observing a need in the marketplace for such a product. After selling the rights to Houston-based Lanware, Inc., he assisted the company through the product's initial release cycle. An avid programmer and technologist, Eric's experience in programming began at age seven with Apple II computers. He attended Florida State University until he was recruited while in college to go to askSam Systems. Eric is on the Board of Directors for six outdoor sports clubs in Florida. |
