Eric Sprunk is in charge of managing Nikes global footwear business driving strategies and allocating resources in a way that develops Nikes footwear business and brand around the world. His responsibilities include managing the footwear creation process from ideation through manufacturing to delivery to consumers. Critical to this is the development of products that excite, motivate and energize Nikes consumer base around the world.
Eric is also responsible for hiring the most talented and motivated employees who can bring all of these strategies together. Under his leadership, Nike has re-established growth and momentum in its global footwear business after several years of relatively stagnant global growth.
Before working at Nike, Eric worked as a staff accountant and manager for Price Waterhouse for 6-1/2 years.
He is a member of the University of Montana Business School Advisory Board and the University of Montana Athletic Association Board of Directors. Eric coaches youth football and Little League baseball. He enjoys being on the water and on the mountain with his three kids and wife.
Erics favorite Nike innovation is Nike Air. Not only did Nike invent the industrys best and most recognizable cushioning platform, but it had the ingenuity and ability to show it to consumers, he said. Its like having the engine of a car showing through the body so very cool and a meaningful way to communicate the benefits of the technology to consumers. |
