Erwin Furukawa is vice president of Customer Programs and Services for Southern California Edison. He is responsible for customer products and services, customer satisfaction management and customer business planning and regulatory support.
Prior to joining the company, Furukawa was regional vice president, Public Sector, for AT&T in San Francisco, CA. He was responsible for the sales and service to cities, counties, schools, colleges, universities, and transportation entities in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. He led an organization that provided comprehensive solutions encompassing video, voice, data and broadband technologies. Preceding this assignment, Furukawa was vice president of Sales for Alternate Channels at SBC, responsible for the strategic development and management of external companies that partnered in selling telecommunications to business customers. As vice president of sales for Ethnic Markets at SBC, Furukawa built and led a statewide multilingual sales and service force that provided customized programs and services to Hispanic and Asian Businesses.
Furukawa has served as a board member in several community-based organizations including Leadership Education for Asian Pacific (LEAP), a national non-profit educational organization focused on Asian Pacific American public policy, leadership and community development issues.
Furukawa graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. degree in marketing. He received his MBA in management from the University of San Francisco and has completed post-graduate work in International Business at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. |
