Ethan D. Leder was previously the Vice Chairman and President of HealthCare Financial Partners, Inc. (HCF), which he co-founded in 1993. HCF was the leading independent specialty finance company offering asset-based financing and related services to healthcare service providers. Through HCF, he financed over 500 healthcare service companies in 40 states over the past five years. Most of these companies were venture-backed healthcare services companies with revenues between $5 million and $200 million. In 1996, HCF became the first company of its kind to complete a public offering and raised approximately $230 million in public equity through the IPO and two subsequent offerings. HCF was sold to Heller Financial for almost $500 million in 1999, which represented a 70% IRR to HCF�s original investors. Ethan was also Vice Chairman and President of Healthcare Financial Partners REIT (the REIT), a real estate investment trust, which he co-founded in the spring of 1998.
