Ethan O. Notkin is an associate in the firm's Corporate, Business and Securities practice group. Mr. Notkin specializes in corporate law and investment management, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities law and hedge funds.
Mr. Notkin represents clients in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and tender offers. Additionally, Mr. Notkin has experience in the general representation of public companies and their regulatory compliance with securities laws including the preparation and filing of registration statements, periodic reports and other filings in accordance with the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Mr. Notkin also represents private investment partnerships including equity funds and has experience with related regulatory compliance issues including those arising under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940. Mr. Notkin supports the representation of unregistered investment advisers in the ongoing day-to-day management of hedge funds, managed accounts and other private pooled investment vehicles.
Mr. Notkin graduated from the University of Southern California (B.A., 1999) and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2006). In law school he was the recipient of the Leslie S. Misrock Scholarship for 2005-2006. Mr. Notkin also served as Technology Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and as a student representative of the Fordham Law Information Technology Committee. He is the author of the Note, "Television Remixed: The Controversy over Commercial-Skipping, which was published in the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal, Volume XVI, Book III.
Mr. Notkin is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York County Lawyers� Association and the American Bar Association. |
