Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer- Sit Investment Associates, Inc.
Mr. Sit is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant. He founded Sit Investment Associates (SIA) in 1981 and his prior business experience included serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer for American Express Financial Advisors Inc., formerly known as IDS Advisory. He has been actively involved as a trustee and officer in several educational, professional and community organizations, and he currently serves as Chairman and Director of the a trustee and officer of Carleton College, is on the Honorary Council of The Minnesota Historical Society, and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Carlson School of Management, International Programs, and is on the Dean's Board of Visitors for the Medical School of the University of Minnesota. Mr. Sit currently serves as a director of Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, and as chairman and director for the various companies of SIA. Director since 2004. Age 67.
