Eugene M. Holmes is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Employee Benefits Department.
Prior to joining McDermott, Eugene was an associate in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice at an international law firm. His practice focuses on day-to-day client counseling on issues related to plan operation and governmental regulatory compliance for defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, executive and equity compensation programs, and health and welfare plans. Eugene also counsels clients on both the compensation and benefits plan ramifications and the employer workforce change impact that result from corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisition and reduction-in-force initiatives. He also counsels clients on issues related to employee benefit plan design and structure.
Eugene is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Georgia and Michigan. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Tax, Labor and Health Law sections.
